Case Study
The project for my assignment by the UX Design Institute was to create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups for a bank payment app. The project's goal was to create the app's visual appearance based on the work of an UX Designer (based on already created digital wireframes).
Wireframes
The wireframes that were presented to me were not complete. I had to come up with the low fidelity design choices within the different breakpoints of the app.
Colors
I've picked color that is classical for financial apps and websites and decided to give it more lighter and friendly tone. I decided to use different shades of blue, instead of using two or more colours. For the illustrations, I decided to go with monochrome look, because I didn't want the focus of the user to be on them but on the clean and classic UI.
Typography
For my typography choice, I decided to use Lato. As stated in the image this is a "serious, but friendly" font and I believed that it would work with the app's overall look very well. Lato is a Google Font, so it'll be very easy to use it overall (not just Mobile or Desktop UI, but on Physical Assets as well) due to free commercial use.
Infographics
Because I use a one-color solution for the project, infographics and charts, look polished and natural. If I used a couple of colours on the App's design system, combined with the information architecture, would have been confusing and not optimal for the users.
